Trying to sleep at night,
Ghosts are whispering in my ear,
Surrounded by the fear,
That keeps me awake,
Wishing they’d stop saying what I already know.
Screams I hear,
They’re begging for an answer.
Guilt comes as I don’t react,
Guilt comes cause I know I can’t help it,
Wishing I was stronger.
Scared of the answers,
Scared of the truth,
Thunder in their eyes as they tell another lie.
Pretending no-one knows,
Another lie, 'cause I know.
Haunted with fear,
Overrating of the world,
Believing in a god,
Wishing they’d care.
