Darkened surroundings in forgotten dreams,
Prowling through shadows away from the light,
Faintly echoing lonely screams,
That seem to consume both the day and the night.
Flames glowing black, dead in their life,
Smothered in silence before they can climb,
Cutting the heavens like a crackling knife,
Stealing the stars before their time.
None shall awaken, all shall sleep,
Living my world of forgotten dreams,
Embracing the midnight where evil creeps,
Adding to all the lonely screams.
